Yaves propels from his hiatus after marriage and ministry with the series finale EP – standing as the perfect adieu to its predecessors; In Summer, Autumn and Winter’s Ear. 

 In Spring’s Ear demonstrates growth and provides an energizing sense of honesty summed up in six tracks. Starting with the album’s namesake, the listener is taken on a journey of self-assurance as a harsh reality is painted, cradled by a rich melody.  Not wavering from the knowledge and word of God, the theme of confidence and security in Christ is a resounding sound throughout the entire work. 

Although In Spring’s Ear marks the end of one journey, Yaves’ work progressively incites a thirst for more as he presents a signature yet mature sound of woodwinds tenderly wailing in the background of Pastel Shades. One can’t help but wonder what is next from the thirty-year-old rapper and ministry leader. This quartet may be the end of one five-year journey but sure enough, there is more to come from Yaves Ellis.

This is an "in your feelings" track about a woman who, much to her surprise, was SCAMMED by a man she had fallen deeply for, trusted in and made plans to build a life with. In other words, I wrote this whilst in my feelings and coming into the realization that I was played by a man that I had grown and chose to love so deeply, even through things I didn't understand. As women, we choose to ignore that "gut feeling" and search for other signs to validate it, when we should really learn to trust our own instincts! It's all love though. Everything happens for a reason and thats what I wanted to get across! ;)
