Selessa T is a French/Ivorian DJ currently based in Berlin. Her musical range spans across old-school house, energetic fast house, and groovy techno.

She is a co-founder of the @blurryvision.bln. The collective organizes parties and has a mission to break boundaries and allow artists to venture into different musical territories than they normally play.

The primary goal was to deliver a sophisticated, dance-inducing set with elements of house, electro and techno, adding variety and depth to the groove.

My next guest on Yax Invites is Research Project, a DJ and producer located in Tandanya, Adelaide, Australia.

His love for depth, intricacy and pace make up the majority of his taste.

His work as a DJ involves being no stranger to opening or closing for artists such as Space Cadets, Moopie, Aldonna, Reptant, Kia and Helena Hauff. His club nights are presented with a passion dedicated to highlighting the local artists in South Australia and he still actively hosts events via his platform Small City.

His recent musical development revolved heavily around the experiences he returned from his recent trip to Berlin with, where his preexisting love of 90s, early 2000s and new-school progressive, meshed with innovative deep techno and trippy tech house was further realised.

His style is continuously evolving throughout the years, but he maintains a focus on deep, groovy, hypnotic, and minimal techno, as he takes inspiration from the 90s and early 00s era, while still adding a modern twist to his sets. 

Whilst maintaining a presence in the underground techno scene in Adelaide, Yax also curates a weekly podcast series called Yax Invites, which began in 2021 with the aim of showcasing talent from around the world with an emphasis on extended techno mixes. For his mix for Miao Music he kept a steady groove of hypnotic techno at a nice rolling fast pace for the listener. It's a sound that he's been attracted to lately as he's been playing more peak hour and closing sets around Adelaide.
