Young Beautiful in a Hurry is a high energy foursome, dedicated to bringing you all organic thoroughbred rock/pop tunes, with a dash of glam you haven’t heard this side of the late 70s.

The music is the evolving work of accomplished guitarist and lead vocalist, songwriter for SyFy’s Defiance, Brendan McCreary. Brendan’s commanding vocals and musicianship have been featured prominently in the ground-breaking series “Battlestar Galactica“, as well as dozens of other projects including AMC’s worldwide sensation “The Walking Dead“. His original songs have been showcased in such popular series as CW’s hit “90210“, “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles“, “Eureka“, NBC’s “Trauma“, “The Cape” and “Human Target”. His voice was featured on the big screen in the 2013 feature “Knights of Badassdom“, for which he provides the singing voice of the main character.  He has contributed memorable theme songs to the popular webseries “Shelf Life“, the cult TV hit “Holliston“, and the feature film “Chillerama” in which he debuted as an actor in a starring role.

Known for his versatility and musical range, Brendan has toured internationally with the “Battlestar Galactica Orchestra“, and fronts “The Johnny Vatos Boingo Dance Party“, alongside reunited members of the iconic 80′s band Oingo Boingo.

Young Beautiful in a Hurry formed in 2011 in Los Angeles.  The line-up includes drummer Bryan Taylor, bassist Pete Griffin (Dethklok, Edgar Winter) and keyboardist Chris Norton (Zappa Plays Zappa).

I Forever

Young Beautiful in a Hurry is the evolving work of songwriter and powerhouse vocalist Brendan McCreary. Brendan first broke into the television mainstream providing the powerful and distinctive voice of one of the most iconic rendition’s of Bob Dylan’s “All Along the Watchtower” for the groundbreaking series BATTLESTAR GALACTICA (BSG). Since his work on BSG, he has contributed his musicianship, songwriting and arrangements to various film, television, web-series projects and has worked on numerous collaborations with Emmy-winning composer Bear McCreary. 

Brendan currently serves as the resident songwriter for SyFy's epic, post-apocalyptic series DEFIANCE that Huffington Post describes as “a smart, well-crafted TV show with a good cast and an adventurous flavor”.  Known for being a prodigious and versatile songwriter, Brendan works closely with showrunner and lyricist Kevin Murphy in developing the soundscape for the series. DEFIANCE Season 2 soundtrack will be releasing on May 26, 2015 on Lakeshore Records.
