I see the outs,
catching on now.
I broke some contract.

So when I stay,
knocked down a peg,
waiting for contact.

So now it's lost,
from where I made,
good friends with you.

Playing things safe,
was your mistake,
back in the Northwest.

Spotted a lizard on the floor and,
I tried to give it a future.
You're somewhere I can't see,
up late throwing thoughts to the cold beach.
