Hello Again... I am ready to share my latest work with you...

It is titled: "The One That Got Away"

This is a pop song inspired by my recent re-connection with a friend of mine named Evelyn from California. A friend of twenty one years now but it's been about ten years since we last saw or talked to each other.

The first thing Evelyn said when we spoke was: "Taiye... my best male friend that got away!" When I heard that I thought that would make a great concept for a song... I responded with: "You're right but I always return!"

So I began writing this after that conversation. Yes... It is a love song... but its a song about friendship that Evelyn and I value.

The One That Got Away...

This was the first set I did after a great deal of sadness but this set is anything but sad. It's actually really good. A blend of mostly new tracks or newly remixed older tracks with a couple of true original classics weaved in bc any good DJ should play great songs, regardless of the time they originated. O was at my place during this set, as we seem to rescue each other from life temporarily. I think this was the last SoS he was present for.
