2021 summer we recorded this live session in a cabin by the lake, in the forest close to Höör in Skåne. That was a summer afternoon with thundershower. This song is for Corona and our cat Gucio. Krzys played el.piano on his phone with one broken arm and Ching-Wen played guitalele.

Gucio, Corona and love

Our first Swedish song! Singing about life, autumn and commonality of human being, what we are longing for in life. "We are all different therefore we are not different" is the english title of the song.

Year by year. We have been in line with life with different permutation. Just an eye blink, a year already passed, don't rush. 

That year we promised each other going to take a big step fowards to explore the life and explore the broaden version of self. During those years, I have seen many magical and hilarious things, I got to know the old verion of self and you, and the new version self and you. 

There are many things waiting for me to realize next year, like many fogs many fogs. We just need to enjoy life, be in the moments, be patient with ourselves, there will be nothing difficult. Don't hurry, don't rush through things. 

The things passed already passed, we keep the beautiful, painful memory in the bottom of the heart. We don't forget the goodness and badness.

Year by year

An indie duo Ching-wen Cheng - singer/songwriter and guitarist, Krzysztof Zimmermann - composer and arranger playing accordion, zither, glockenspiel, synth and many others. 

Ching-wen from Taiwan and Krzysztof from Poland, first met in Göteborg in 2010 and started playing music together. 

Yellowbrenda has been playing at various venues in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Poland, Germany, Japan and Taiwan (e.g. Dirty Records in Gothenburg, Sweden, Retro Cafe in Copenhagen, Denmark, Kuka Bar in Turki, Finland, The Wall in Taipei, Taiwan), at music festivals (e.g. Helsingborg Festival in Sweden, Bermuda Container Festival in Helsinki in Finland, Misietupodoba Art Festival in Poland). 

In 2014 released an EP "Song with no words" which had a release streaming living room concert in Helsingborg in Sweden. Songs from the EP are used as a soundtrack in a documentary by Taiwanese director Geng-Yu Wang. 

During 2014-2017, Yellowbrenda was active in Germany, playing in different venues, festivals in Düsseldorf, Münster and Dortmund. In 2017 Spring, Yellowbrenda has released 'EP 3' and toured in Kyoto and Osaka in Japan.

Since 2019 Yellowbrenda is based in Malmö Sweden. In winter 2020 started "Little things matter" session streaming online on Sunday afternoon to ease winter-corona blue and share the warmth to the world.
