Found was written at two different times both demanding a response to a simple question; what are you looking for that God can’t fulfil?

The chorus of this song was written a few years ago as a response to answered prayers. Yemi survived extremely difficult situations growing up and have wondered in awe how God brought him through. 

What is so special about me, Yemi asked. The answers are summarised in the lyrics and the core is that God found me… Yemi explained. He came running for me, even when I didn’t deserve it.

The entire song describes different moments of Yemi’s experiences coined through the lenses of these two scriptures;

1 John 4:10; This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

Jeremiah 29:13; You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.

Deep is a song of love... exploring the height, depth, width and length of God's love for us. Inspired by a special teaching by my mama and written from many scriptures including Psalms 42:7-8 "Deep calleth unto the deep at the noise of thy waterspouts; all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me. Yet the LORD will command his loving kindness in the daytime and in the night his song שִׁיר shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life".

This is a personal worship that can only come from a place of true love for God. In other words, you MUST be in love to sing this.

DNA in living being shows strong evidence of a Creator. It carries information that cannot have occurred by natural forces or by random combination of coincidence but came by intelligent design.

This song summarises my research into the topic of identity and how our deepest being carries GOD and everything we are is from Him.
