In the past, humans would forgive everything and repeat the same actions that led to a peaceful ending.
However, when the peaceful ending was repeated for the 327th time, humans became tired of the peace and began massacres.
During the 7th massacre, Sans could not accept the fact that he could not sit still and wait for death, so he activated a secret machine hidden behind his house. It was a purple door, a door that could lead anywhere. He activated what Gaster created. Sans believed that if he activated this machine, the world would return to the way it was.
But the machine didn't work properly. What was behind the door was not Gaster, but a “Blue Monster.” Sans instantly remembered his purpose.
At this time, he decided to stop this massacre at any cost.
The "Blue Monster" was willing to help him, and gave Sans a purple soul that emits a blue-black glow (this soul is actually the soul of the "Blue Monster". When its power is used, the soul of the "Blue Monster" is transferred to the user's body. (Of course, Sans doesn't know this, because he was that desperate.), Sans was certain that this soul would be able to change the false ending.
(The “Blue Monster” referred to here is not River Person, but a completely different person named Wilhelm.)
