We've been speaking about the disciplines of being a disciple. What do we do when God seems to be silent? What about answered prayer? Another factor that we should consider is, I prayed, but I don't seem to be healed. I don't seem to get restoration. The most common problem that believers have, who are serious about their walk with God is a failure to fully forgive others from the heart. In Matthew 615, Yeshua said, If you do not forgive others, and that means all other men, then your father will not forgive your transgressions. What a profound statement. It's also important to remember that my Heavenly Father will also do the same thing to you, that is, you will remain in prison. Matthew 18 verses 34 and 35 speaks of the fact that if you don't forgive from the heart, and release your brother, then you yourself will remain in some kind of prison. The longer this goes on, the more trouble we have. Even a small thing will grow over time. This is a reason for a lack of answered prayer, for the prevalence of sickness in the body of Messiah. And, of course, resistance from God, and unanswered prayer, we must forgive our brother, our sister, our family members from the heart. Remember, it's usually those that are closest to us, who have failed us, lead us down, or in some way, brought pain into our life. And we must pray for them, bless them and forgive them from the heart. So that God who delights to answer our prayer can intervene in our situation, and we are then the overcomer that we want to be. Praise God who answers all prayer and forgives all sin.
