It was the perfect day in Cape Town...

Spring was graciously passing the baton to Summer
My red-eye flight was merciless but on time 
A group of people came together in a garden to celebrate a remarkable human being

There was music to play
Hands to hold
Words to say
And moments to bury deep in your heart so you will never forget it

I put together an hour or so's tracks for the occasion(eclectic as ever), with some oldies, some newies, hopefully all goodies -- getting more celebratory towards the end (wait for it). 

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

"Tutto Passa" is an album with a variety of moods, ranging from Arthur Verocai & Piero Umiliani inspired arrangements to lush, thematic jazz progressions with a percussive edge akin to works by David Axelrod, Stelvio Cipriani and Sven Wunder. It's a timeless release, one that sits just as well in 1972 as it does in 2022.

Marvin Horsch, the creative powerhouse behind the Cologne-based jazz project, remarks that the LP:

"...reflects exactly the feeling I had last year when I was in Italy with my own family. As a musician, I was looking for the challenge of a more orchestral approach on this album, which I hoped to achieve with my arsenal from the Cologne jazz scene and support of musicians from around the world."

Rooted in introspection and emotional depth, Theoric Proximity explores the notion of connection — physical and emotional proximity — and the complex, often subtle relationships we navigate in our everyday lives. It's a deeply personal work shaped by late-night sessions and a desire for sonic escapism.
