All of the intro sequences -- at least, as far as I've currently decided, this could easily change -- pretty much convey the same information that it does in Undertale. Humans and Monsters live together, war breaks out, the usual.

Once I have a more expansive plot synopsis for these AUs individually I will put them here (and in future tracks' descriptions), but for now this will have to do.

W. D. Gaster. The revered scientist who created the big magic lightbulb that casts The Cliffs in an eternal sunset. People weren't sure he could do it. He had spent months working on it, and felt like he was put under a lot of pressure. After all, it had to be up to Chara's standards. It had to be perfect. At least, that's what he thought Chara's standards were.

Just as Gaster was about to test out his latest invention with the hopes of furthering process on his barrier-breaking research, it blew up in his face. The first thing he saw after the smoke clears up is Oliver, and it lead him to draw only one conclusion.

This man is, of course, relatively harmless. Highly stressed out and verging near goofy mad scientist levels of anger when he fights Oliver, but beyond that he's actually a really sweet friendly guy who just wants to make inventions for the betterment of society. One of his side projects is always proudly on display -- his magic, emotive shirts! Unlike those fake rings that change color depending on your mood, these shirts ACCURATELY reflect your feelings. (Complex feelings are approximated.)

Napstablook and Chara are co-stars on their own sitcom, "They and Them"! On the show, both of them are rather similar characters -- one of them just happens to be human. Both of them try to be the stoic main character, but both of them end up being the comic relief.

When they're not playing the part of the spooky Mx. Boggie Specta, Napstablook is generally speaking still their quiet and self-conscious...self. While for the most part they've used to the attention being a sitcom star grants them, and they feel a lot happier and even more confident than they used to, they still tend to prefer their alone time.

When not playing the part of the grumpy Mx. Angie Patell, Chara is generally fairly laidback. They’re occasionally more sarcastic, particularly toward Oliver. While their ghostly counterpart is sometimes a bit wigged out by the whole stardom thing, Chara seems to be enjoying this new lifestyle quite a lot.

The initial battle against the two takes place in the middle of an episode they're filming for the sitcom. Unscripted in nature, and highly unfitting for the context of the episode, but the producer saw an opportunity and decided to roll with it.
