hesitant to say this because it may seem like a minor detail, but it feels important to give credit where credits due. this should be listed as jaan x mask off (knots mashup) by Zha and Future. knots made a good call overlapping these tracks, they sound dope! but neither track is by him, so having his name as the artist while the other two aren't credited at all feels a bit unethical... I'd be pretty choked if someone did that to one of my tunes. just my two cents, sent with the best intentions

A relative newcomer to Djing, Lil Cis has quickly proven her versatile taste and skills mixing between untz untz and wub wub realms of house and dubstep. Although her presence behind the decks is relatively new, her presence in the music scene is not. Lil Cis co founded Good Night Out Vancouver and has an immense passion for improving safety and promoting consent culture in the nightlife scene.

She’s been dedicated to creating safer nights out for all but it's now her turn to get a little silly and start the party. Inspired by those 2am dancefloor moments she hopes her sound brings people together.

She is also a co-founder at @audiosocialvancouver, which aims to cultivate culture and create a platform for an inclusive community to connect through sound. Her love of music and event planning is the driving force behind why she picked up djing.

What a blissful experience! This was my first trip since my car accident/head injury in 2019. The opportunity was timely and I'm grateful - it allowed me to step out of my whirlwind. I rediscovered my passion for life and regained my sense of self. The dust is still settling. Still beaming that the stars aligned for Joy (Alegria Aerial) to join me and share the stage with her aerial silks! 

I hope this mix captures some of the magic of that night, and takes you on a journey to the jungle. 🙏🏾

Shapes. Guest Mix 003 // Mat The Alien x The Librarian

March began with my pulling tracks together from producers I was scheduled to perform alongside later that month for a spring promo mix - namely Sam Binga, Rider Shafique, DJ Madd, Handsome Tiger & Captivate.
As the month progressed and all of the gigs were cancelled, it evolved into this full-length concept mix. Some of the vocal tracks talk about anxiety and isolation while some songs take on entirely new significance, given the current COVID-19 context - others are so excessively contradictory to current mandates that they end up bordering on comical. I didn't set out with the mission of attaching a theme to the mix, so it certainly wanders - but as a whole, I feel it comes together cohesively.

I hope to see you in the dance one day soon, and that you're able to enjoy this in the meantime..
