VIVa MUSiC welcome rising Italian MATTHEW as he drops a trio of cuts via his ‘Neopolitan’ EP.
A new name from Italy’s musical rich city of Napoli, emerging DJ and producer MATTHEW emerged in style earlier this year, dropping his three-track ‘Exelent’ EP via Rich NxT’s What NxT imprint with support from the likes of Jamie Jones, Skream, Hector, Blond:ish, Tobi Neumann and LEON. Up next, he heads to Steve Lawler’s renowned VIVa MUSiC imprint to close September, unveiling three fresh cuts via his ‘Neopolitan’ EP.
Opening cut ‘Vieni Que Sasà’ welcomes a sun-soaked, disco-infused production armed with bright, funk-fuelled leads, while ‘My Family’ introduces moody low-ends, rich organic drums and infectious vocal samples to up the energy levels. To close, ‘We Wagliò’ continues to showcase the Italian’s versatility as he delivers an up-front, bass- heavy final cut to round out his VIVa debut with authority.
