Godhead, ygrade’s inaugural release, documents solitude, egotism, mania, depression, fear, joy, and light. While the music is an intensely personal reflection of the artist during the year 2016, it still invokes an uncomfortable, uncanny, and impersonal distance between itself and the listener.

Fragmented Environments is a collection of synthetic spaces, that, while fabricated, feel warm and familiar. gonima is a master of juxtaposition. Skittering aggressive rhythms, rapid changes in time signature and cold digital synthesizers work together to subvert their stereotypical identities. What would usually be perceived as a harsh, challenging palette presents itself in a gentle and inviting format. Fragmented Environments is not social music, but rather encourages tender introspection. A work that captures all the chaotic moving parts of life, yet still brilliantly maintains its normalcy.
