Everything New Was Old LP

This is the first track to my new album "Everything New Was Old" , I wanted the album to start out with more organic tones and feelings. "Make My Mind A Garden" is a very special track to me and many other people so making an alternate version with similar themes was a joy and a challenge. The original has all these lo fi soundfont organic instruments like slap bass and saxaphone. For the new version I wanted to use some more realistic replicas of instruments so you'll hear some bass guitar, flutes, acoustic drum breaks, piano, harp and strings. The lyrics are inspired by a visit to a buddhist gathering in San Francisco years ago where this lady gave a talk about making the mind a garden. I'll probably make an entire post just on the lyrics because what I learned that day has been really useful in navigating the mind. Back to the track.... there's a lot of notes, I spent a stupid amount of time programing and mixing all the notes and drum hits. I hope you enjoy the listen, there will another new track "Old Ideas" dropping on Friday. Big Love! ❤

A derivative of my track Dissolve with Mr.Bill. Track 6 from my new album "Everything New Was Old". A real soundsystem flex heater if you will.

really happy with how this one turned out! I took my previous track Dissolve and cut it into a bunch of pieces then reassembled a new track by tapping out multiple patterns, picking the best, and fusing them all together. Added a lot of texture to bass and spent hours on hours designing the snare drums and trying to get the reverb perfect without damping the impact. This one always gets a hype crowd response when played live. Very happy with how it turned out and to be finally able to share a high quality version with everyone. If you have a subwoofer give this one a test.  Big love on the cloud, internet is crazy innit.

This one is a derivative of my track " SIGNALS FROM ABOVE" from The Party Has Changed. This one is meant to be max heavy, I want halftime after the second section, then went a brutally slow double halftime after that section. It feels like time is slowing down. I'm really happy with how these snares turned out. A lot of people have told me they've seen space ships during my sets, not sure it's true or if it's the drugs but it always makes me smile and I take it as a compliment. I'm actually not so much into aliens, I prefer humans, but would definitely hang out with an alien if the opportunity arose and it was safe to do so. The idea of an entire planet filled with different lifeforms is fun for the imagination, there's so many planets out there in the universe, got to be at least some wormy tube bugs or little plants out there or something. Anyways, here's the track if you'd like to listen, I'm really happy with this one :::)

A derivative of my track "Inside A Simulation" ... I don't really believe we're in a simulation, but when the things are hitting just right it can feel that way, am I right? Am I wrong? What is right or wrong? What is life? Generated from our very own brains one experience can spawn a thousand different experiences. Music is a collaboration between the artist and the listener. I don't believe anyone hears a track the same exact way. Every listen is a subtly different experience.
