Happy Chinese New Year! They say that if you eat fish on CNY, it will bring luck and fortune for the coming year. Well, let's hope. 

2016 was a terrible year for me personally. I had problems with my health, work, family, and relationships. An outlet for me to escape these problems was to make music. 

I only began learning Ableton Live a year ago, and became more involved with it last year in August when I purchased the Push 2. It's been a steep learning curve and I'm still learning every time I start a new project. But I love it. 

This year, I want to concentrate more on what I love and let go of all the negativity from 2016. 

2016, fuck you.

After hiking for almost an hour, we arrived overlooking Jiufen -- the breathtaking landscape that inspired some of the scenes in Spirited Away. I looked at him with hopefulness. He stared back in despair. 

"I shouldn't be here," he muttered, "I shouldn't be here with you." 

We walked down in silence. Just the wind blowing across my face as tears began to roll down. 

The beauty before me was lost to just how ugly and fickle love can be. I couldn't enjoy the damn serenity and now I wish I had...

My first live performance using Ableton Live and Push. Thank you 23 Music Room, my friends, and new fans for coming out to support me!

Backstory: 
Half of these tracks were created during a period where I was in a toxic relationship and went through numbing depression where I wouldn't even get out of bed for weeks. I had moved to a new country for this guy, only to find out that he had two other women in his life. One of the mistresses, whom I thought was just his friend, emailed me confirming that the two were in love and I should make new friends and see a therapist. 

So I made new friends. Saw a therapist. And made these kick-ass beats.
