Before I Go To Sleep (rescore)

An album collected all the music composed for different dreams and imaginations:
'祈祷' means Pray. All the sound were recorded in Yunan province in China, which used as sound samples in the music to present the impression of the culture link between ancient china and modern era. 
'在深蓝的海里舞蹈‘means dancing under the deep blue ocean, as well as other three music, they are trying to depict different images from imagination and dreams. As what titles present, they are but more than that.

The piece portrays the scenario of the factory which is operating at night. No one knows what the factory is producing……

This piece is composed by improvisation, which requires two people to play piano extended techniques and one person to sing the specific chord notes. Each unique sound represents different machines in the factory.

The piece portrays the scenario of sons and daughters being disciplined by their mother. In Asia, some parents are inclined to discipline their kids out of love. It is very normal for Asians, especially those for the older generations to scold kids severely when they are being “naughty”.
This piece gives the audience space to introspect on these questions; What is the meaning of discipline? Is it just torture to their kids?

This piece is a portrayal a prayer. The idea is based on a Gregorian Chant, Kyrie IV from Mass IV, and the piece is composed to portray the awe in the hearts of believer toward God.

Si Deus Me Relinquit [2020 Spring]

This piece is composed for solo soprano, contralto, percussion instruments and synthesizers, using the same title text and quoting the lyrics of the original soundtrack ‘Si Deus Me Relinquit’ from a Japanese anime called ‘Kuroshitsuji’. The lyrics are narrating the fear of God abandoning humans, and imagining the future of humans without god. 

 The lyrics inspire me a lot in creating the mood of the song: incomprehensible divinity.
