BIOGRAPHY:

DJ Andy de Gage' is a DJ and producer for melodic progressive house and techno. He hails from Germany.

Already as a small boy he became interested in the disco sound of the 1970s. As a teenager he was fascinated by Italo Disco Music and in the meantime breakdance conquered the world with his music and DJ Andy de Gage' moved as a breakdancer to the sounds of Grandmaster Flash, Herbie Hancock, The Rock Steady Crew, and Afrika Bambataa, at that time hat he cut the music onto cassettes and gave them to all his friends, but later switched to turntables and vinyls. He was also inspired by the synth pop that emerged in the 80s. Acid, Chicago House, House and Techno.
He has been a DJ in regional clubs, bars and discotheques and was a guest at the greatest Hessian Radio Station. At last he was on the ADE in Amsterdam at the Labelshow from Tanzgemeinschaft, Chrome Records, EMA.
His repertoire today includes deep house, classic house, melodic and progressive house and techno.

DJ Andy de Gage' started producing house and techno music himself in 2015. At first just as a hobby, but the enthusiasm kept growing, so that the first publication took place in 2019. He appeared on the labels: Sunexplosion, 200 DB, Datatech, Sounds of Meow, Melodic Tunes, MEGAO, Krafted Underground, Tanzgemeinschaft, QR Sound Records, Vorwärts Musik, LIKE THAT UNDERGROUND, Reckoning.records, coming soon on  City of Drums and Klagrebbellion.

An artist of global repute, James Monro has been at the vanguard of the underground dance movement for multiple decades. Culminating in a body of work from a rich and varied career, the full-length "In the Ether" album showcased Monro's work in a dozen stunning tracks. As Yin and Yang now return to the album, "Modular" is remixed by Mexican and Greek producers.

Through his Bobby Deep soubriquet, Mpampis Vasilos has always been passionate about dance music from his beautiful home in central Greece. Quickly finding his feet in his hometown, DJ appearances saw him grow in stature with gigs alongside the likes of Pete Gooding and Terry Lee Brown. A nascent production career quickly blossomed after a debut for No Smoking Recordings in 2007 with a staggering 1000 production credits now sitting alongside the Bobby Deep name. A regular on the Acuna label family, additional work has seen Vasilos featured on the likes of Suffused Music, Vurtical and Deepsessions Recordings. 

Given such an esteemed and impressive career in the underground dance scene, it is a pleasure to welcome Bobby Deep with a debut for Yang. Taking on "Modular," a glorious groove emanates through intelligently programmed percussive rhythms and pulsating, gated pads. Building effortlessly, close attention has been paid to Monro's original components while a host of new production material sees filtered sequences rise and fall in atmospheric fashion. Reaching its zenith in the third movement, the combination of rhythm and melody makes for a sure-fire dancefloor hit.

Yin and Yang (n.) - the concept of duality forming a whole. A fundamental premise in Chinese philosophy now transposed to the electronic dance industry through the creation of Proton "Editions". Through encyclopaedic knowledge of the 2,000+ strong Proton roster of labels Tripp Baronner has envisioned a new concept of the principle of seemingly polar opposites, coming together as interconnected and independent universal forces - life and death, the dark and the light: one complete entity. 

From a passion for underground progressive house at opposite ends of the audio spectrum - the deep, shadowy atmospheres to the blissful, shimmering melodies, "Yin" and "Yang" were born in an effort to represent this phenomenon in musical form. Each release will provide a single remix of an existing Proton roster track for two inextricably linked labels in the form of a light (Yang) and dark (Yin) edition. Released on the same day, a strong contrast in styles will thus serve to complement each other and nourish the whole.
