This is incredible. I want it inside of my bloodstream.

A rather simple meditation on a simple melodic theme in a few different intonations. Tuning is 53EDO, so pretty much Pythagorean and ridiculously close to 5-limit JI.

Recorded using Pianoteq, improvised, one take, one track, no fiddling round, on my tiny keyboard (yay for that high B). I really dig this Organ-like tone, though it's really a Rhodes hiding under there.

53EDO organ made me think of Bosanquet (hence the picture of one of his 53-tone organs), man I'd love to play on one of those

I improvised this based on memorizing which chord structures in 12-equal corresponded to which chords in 20-equal. It's an ambient landscape of cascading moments which all fade into each other and continually move to new areas. Additionally, the audio was fed through different filters and channels of distortion to get the impression of slowly fading between timbres. Many of the progressions played are common movements that line up differently in 20-equal (but I'm unsure of the comma pump).

November 17, 1998:
"My story begins when it was nighttime, I had a dream. It was not a happy dream but it was a nightmare. My pillow changed its picture. My sheet's colors looked new. And the eating gorilla came out of my pillow. It was very, very, very, very, very, very, very scary. It started to eat my head while I was laying on it. I felt so scared that I am frightened. Um, and he cooled my head down and then his mouth ate it. But it was just a quick pretend dream. Then I said, 'Nightmare!' and then my mom ran upstairs and I woke her up in the middle of the night. Um, when the dream was over, it wasn't scary anymore. I was very scared last time. And then I promised next time I wouldn't wake her up. And that's all of my story."
