Here it is: the full recording of my set at this year's edition of Boom Festival!

It's the first time that my whole performance was covered and professionally edited - so this is something truly special for me!

A little background info: I felt like a little kid when I entered the Dance Temple on the final morning of the festival. I was nervous as fck, excited as hell but as well amped to the max, enthusiastic and truly positive to having the chance, the challenge and as well the privilege to play for this amazing dancefloor. 

Months before the festival, a thought crossed my mind if it wouldn't be wiser and as well safer to skip improvisation this time and to prepare a set - safety first style. But a minute later I erased this thought as I realized that by doing this, I would give away the advantage of a DJ set versus a 'live' set: the ability to get into direct communication with the dance floor and to have a dialogue with the crowd based on giving, receiving and thus mutually creating a journey rather than a pre-arranged monologue of just sending out frequencies.  

So I went ahead with my trademark Boom Shankar approach of full improvisation with all its advantages and as well disadvantages. You might be able to see this in the linked video: it took me a bit to establish this connection as the energy I received from the floor was quite intense, but in the end I felt that we fully clicked and thus created an energetic and truly beautiful connection! 

Seeing the outcome of this connection in the video makes me so happy, and it confirms that this decision and the impromptu approach were the right choices.
Being able to make people dance, to create smiles and to exchange energies and vibes with each other - to make others happy with what makes me happy - is one of the most beautiful experiences of my life, and I am so thankful that I have the opportunity to do that!

This exclusive "Chuck Some Foot"-titled hybrid set by BLETHER contains some of his tracks released on State Alchemy music as well as some other incredible music produced by his favorite artists. Meet Anthony Lee, a 23-year-old visionary behind the night psy project called Blether. Back in 2018, he dove headfirst into the captivating world of Cape Town's psychedelic culture, and it didn't take long for him to become enamored with it. Fuelled by his love for the scene, Anthony decided to channel his passion into the studio, where he could bring his musical ideas to life. As time went on, Anthony found himself increasingly drawn to the allure of the night time sound. It was within these dark, nocturnal soundscapes that he discovered a creative sanctuary, free from the constraints of traditional musical structures. When you listen to Blether's music, you'll notice a distinctive focus on the glitchy and digital aspects of classic night psy. Anthony's sound design is meticulous, crafting intricate and stimulating sonic experiences that captivate listeners. The Hunab Ku crew is excited to present the first LIVE SET from their "mad member to show his power! Enjoy!! KAWAAAA BOOOOOOONGAA!!" Born in Lugano, Switzerland, Jakopo Zanini, aka J-Ack, began DJing at 16 (2008) at small amateur parties in the Ticino woods with his Psy Prog project. By 18, seeking growth beyond Ticino, he joined Creative Jungle Records in Milan, playing alongside artists like Yatzee, Biomekaniks, and Brainstalker. Over the next 13 years, he shared stages with renowned names like Ace Ventura, Cosmosis, and Rinkadink, performing at top festivals, including Psy-Fi in 2015.  In 2019, Jakopo launched his production project, KAWABOONGA, and co-founded Padma Renaissance Tribe with friends Fabio Arreghini (Mindwhell) and Ferdinando Quero (Masterkaos), organizing events and working as an audio and lighting technician. Their efforts brought top-tier artists like U-Recken and Avalon to Ticino, furthering Jakopo’s passion for music and event creation.  In 2023, KAWABOONGA debuted at multiple Italian festivals and a Tunisian event, where Jakopo joined Hunab Ku Records as a live artist. He also signed with Pulsonique Records and Merkaba Crew, the latter hosting him at Taurus/Atlas Connection Festival.  Jakopo continues to pursue his dream, producing his signature "Hitech non-Hitech" music at 180 BPM and collaborating with artists like Dayalix, Bipolar, and SwoopaLoops.

The album’s title track goes for a nicely driving mid tempo approach, with a 4/4 kick, bigger hi hats, ever-changing rhythmic patterns and one shots. The omnipresent long pad sounds and dubbed out short melody 'teases' hold things together nicely. The Ying Yang Monks project was born in 2010 after Curro and Jorge (aka Dj Chimbo and AcidBox) worked in the organization of psychedelic gatherings (Fullmoongui) and decided to join forces to create a musical project that would allow them to create their own sounds based on the musical style they both passionate about: the Morning Psychedelic Trance. That same year, after editing several tracks in Psylove and BMSS Records, they become part of the roast of the newborn label Maharetta Records where they will present their first EP "Alice" and define their personal acid style, with small touches to Goa, balancing the atmospheric parts with the energetic ones, creating their own Yin Yang sound. From then onwards, they began to publish on labels such as Antu Records, Mosaico, Free Spirit or Zero Gravity among others and that will serve as a bridge for them to perform in gatherings and festivals both inside and outside Spain.
