This one goes deep! After the success of his last contribution, ReCorpo reports back to YION with a smooth, skillfully texturized four-track EP. A record full of contrasts and yet tied together by a clear narrative. Form the hushed vocals, the arpeggiated synth patterns, the minimal but impactful percussion and ethereal pads of the opening track, the story leads along a heavier hitting second act all the way to a beautiful finale in the shape of a deep house ballad. This one will keep you in your seat - or rather - on the dance floor.

And, as if to prove us right, New York-based producer Nhii is starting it off with a bang. ‚Kykeon of Cobble Hill‘, his new two-track EP, is electric, trippy and mysterious. The title track, as well as the B-side ‚Branches of the same Tree‘ don’t skimp on eclectic charm while still fulfilling their prime objective: these are grooves made for the dance floor, deep-yet-bouncy and so, so wonderfully made.

A marvel of astronomical art: here is 'Pink Moon', the latest EP from renowned producer duo Dole & Kom. This time, they take us on a journey past historical landmarks all the way to space. Neither in 'Jamestown' nor in the titular 'Pink Moon' did Dole & Kom have to compromise between a driving groove and a cerebral, meditative vibe. A perfect atmospheric (or should we say stratospheric?) mix. In any case: Pack your telescope, head straight to the dance floor and listen to the sound of the universe. 'Pink Moon' is out now!

Sometimes it's all about reprising your old darlings. So we went ahead and got this amazing remix of 'Colours' by YION-founder Felix Raphael, done by none other than the popular DJ & producer duo Bondi. The two took the track to an entirely new sonic sphere. Here it shines as an electronica-infused dance floor anthem with melancholic overtones. It's driving, brooding and outright powerful. We hope you have as much fun with this one as we do.

Can we offer you some downright dazzling downtempo on this fine day? Lui Mafuta and Kunterweiß present their YION debut with ‘Wrong’. Hints of world music, trip hop, organic house and dub make this track as intriguing as it is pleasing to the ear. Added to the package is a remix by mUnO that shift the tone towards something rawer and more feral, adding even more facets to this already iridescent release. We think you’re gonna have a lot of fun with this one.

New sounds, fresh of the digital press: Sanoi and Jake Rattler present their YION debut with ‘The Flubbenator’ – a two track EP with plenty of pizzazz. Hi-hat-heavy and driving percussion sets the tone on both tracks here. While the title track fully orients itself towards the dancefloor, the second half of the EP, ‘Jonty’s Theme’ likes to play a little bit more with contrast, and adds just a dash of moody strings and melodramatic vibes. Altogether, a worthy soundtrack for the dawn of spring.
