FALLOUT is finished. But as I step back, I am ambivalent: proud and insecure, excited and apprehensive, like a proud parent watching his baby all grown up, but leaving the nest and protection of home.

Much of my personal sound and background, developed over the years of listening to and creating music, is represented in this album. It also draws widely from not only music, but also the aesthetics of movies, television and literature I love. But FALLOUT is as much a celebration of where my sound is today as it is a recognition that I will leave part of it behind now that this album is in the wild. After putting together this collection, I know I cannot repeat it, and I have to say good bye to part of myself as a producer in pursuit of newness. That is a source of ambivalence- the pride in sharing something I’ve put so much into, and the recognition that by putting these parts of myself out into the world, I have to let them go now. 

But this is the welcomed aftereffect of pouring so much time and energy into this music. I know that by sharing this body of music with you, I am demolishing part of myself as a producer so I can reinvent myself again, and again.

KRANE - Titan feat. Nolan van Lith

I wrote the music to 'Dainichi' a year ago and have rewritten it no less than 10 times. Then kind of recently it all just came together perfectly. This song is so special to me because it represents a mixing of styles and cultures that's a central part of who I am and how I make music. 

'Dainichi' is the zen Buddhist embodiment of emptiness. Essentially it’s the idea that everything is void of meaning or value. All things are impermanent and in a state of constant flux. In a way, it teaches us to be optimists because problems and pain are both only temporary.

Some of you may have heard but one of my best mates and someone that I created my sound with has decided to end the $aturn project. 

About 5 or 6 years ago we started making chill trap music together and even started a side project called Chilled Velvet!

We made this track about 4 years ago and we never got a chance to release it and going through my old Soundcloud today and I thought if not now, when will I post this. So I thought fuck it imma put it up.

The vocalist Sarah Shields is amazing and she is is going to put out a completely different version of the track herself but she too thought it was too good not share this.

We loved this track and hope you do too, sorry we didn't get it out earlier xx

hey guys, i know it's been a while since i've posted a track. we've been so busy with our lives and just doing some self learning. this track was heavily inspired from our recent japan trip we took. everything was so foreign and new to us, in a good way. the trip definitely opened up our horizons more and you can kinda see it in the track itself. the first part shows our disorientation to a new place, and the second part shows how we finally figured it out. and i guess in a sense that's how music has been this year. so things have been clicking and you guys will definitely see us around more often. sorry this is such a long description, but wanted to let you guys know where we are at this point. stay tuned for more from us.
