Ylisia is a dutch symphonic metalband with influences of the 80’s & bands such as the (old) Gathering, Evanescence, Within Temptation Stream of Passion but also Kate Bush.

“Sometimes you just find this instant connection. That is when magic happens”
And that my friends, was the beginning of this new adventure ahead of us: “Ylisia”.

Founder, Keyboardplayer & composer George van Olffen (ex Secret Sounds, Moonflower & Kingfisher Sky) asked longtime friend & guitar player Martijn de Zeeuw to join him in the quest for an additional line-up.

In the summer of 2021 With Liesbeth Cordia ( ex annatar, Eve’s Fall) joined on vocals, Eva Levina on drums & Tim Hoogervorst (ex- the Name) on bass.

George & Liesbeth discovered a deep musical connection. Liesbeth found her writing mojo and completed the songs with much needed melodies & lyrics in hyperspeed. Only 3 days after they first met Liesbeth recorded some songs in George’s studio and the songs just instantly came to life. And so the story began.

The band released their first demo’s made in their homestudio not to long ago and instantly got featured on NH-pop “demodrop” the metal-edition where they received very positive feedback. They are ready to rock your pants of and will be playing their first shows soon! So stay tuned!
