Rite Of The Seeker [Exuvium Records]

Consumerism and freedom
The song "Society," performed by Eddie Vedder, directly criticizes the relationship between consumerism and personal freedom. The line "We have greed with which we have agreed" highlights how society accepts, almost without question, the constant pursuit of more material goods. This idea connects to the story of Christopher McCandless, portrayed in "Into the Wild," which inspired the song.
