This is the 2nd track of my album ƒin. 
It was half produced half in Barcelona and half in Pional's studio in Madrid. We made three sessions of recordings during 2011 and in fact it's the track that took most time to finish in the album. Pional played some keys too and some percussions, he's the best :)

Stuart Howard aka Lapalux has come up with something special for his first release with Cali’s finest, Brainfeeder. Having made his name with his cassette-only “Many Faces Out Of Focus” and acclaimed bootlegs and remixes he returns with a seven track EP of such poise and beauty, one listen is enough to know you’re onto something special.

Lapalux bathes your brain in lush textures, surprising and explosive atmospheres set in unencountered, unearthly spaces, all somehow perfectly set against catchy rolling choruses informed by pop and commercial R&B. On the “When You’re Gone” EP he channels and refines his sound and shapes it into hazy, woozy emotion. Whether working with a singer like Py (on “Moments”), or deconstructing found samples and his own voice, Howard stretches, bends and warps sound to make soul – not plastic posturing but real emotion made of synthetic sound.

Ocean Floor For Everything

Recorded during the summer of 2011 in a converted barn in rural Connecticut, In Limbo puts pop and tribal elements to the fore. Opener “Better” is a Suicide-esque march toward euphoria through repetition. “Sleep in Noise” comes on like a neo-psychedelic tribal stomp with a Spector-esque drive, while “Unable,” an all-but-shapeless mass of organ swells and tremolo synths provides a loose structure for their transcendent vocal acrobatics. The density and layers of the band's morphing keyboards, driving synths and jungle drums let their finely arranged vocals sit gloriously on top, each member’s contribution shining through.

In Limbo was mixed and produced in collaboration with Sonic Boom (Spacemen 3, Spectrum).  His influence & guidance is subtly evident throughout, adding sympathetic undertones and ambience to the band’s well defined and inspiring songs.
