Casa Noble Lisboa Especial 17: Chá De Amêndoa Doce

Currently based in Istanbul, the live act and music producer Ejder Kazar chooses music as the best way to interpret life. Although Armenian, he has been exploiting his life to the utmost on the majestic city that spans Europe and Asia. In his childhood, Ejder started being passionate by break dance, part of the hip hop culture created by African Americans and Latinos in the 1970s in New York, and as being born in a different 'geography' he always felt a vertiginous crush on South America. Influenced by Middle Eastern societies and inspired by history and nature, Ejder Kazar performs his music in a society that lives in a comparative synthesis between the new and the old, thus, he blends the mysterious spirit of the Middle East with the digital world.

Designed with Cubase, this 185th edition is an excellent croos-section of what Ejder feels that helped him to shape his own aesthetics. Through almost one hour he seeks to give wider exposure to the raw, urban, grassroots sound of his influences: street vibes melted around the edges. In this way, the mixtape is delineating contrasting sections and developing peaks and valleys, always surrounded by ghostly collages, zooming synths and samples swimming in and out of organ tones, hip-hop rhythms and chill out exotica, topped with Ejder’s reflective, anachronistic filter.

2020 is coming to an end...my last mix: laughing&breathing 
It is as dark as it was for many people this year. And yet, I've never laughed as much as this year, also I've come so close to my loved ones. We listened happy music and danced together as well, mostly two or three friends. We had so much funny moments and sweat behind the masks. Also we get drunken on jitsi - there was no way home. 
I never saw this kind of anxiety before not knowing what's to come, nothing was predictable this year. laughing&breathing brought me peace in my mind.
Now it's time to take a deep breath again and finally to be sad about what was and go on until something else comes...keep up laughing&breathing
