Mictlán es un álbum conceptual a través de géneros e interpretaciones de 18 artistas sobre el inframundo según la mitología y cosmovisión prehispánica de los Aztecas.

Mictlán es el inframundo y parte del universo vertical, creado por la pareja de dioses soberanos de los muertos. Sus nueve niveles representan el viaje del Dios Tonatiuh todas las noches en las fauces de los señores de la Tierra. 

Tepeme Monamictlán es el segundo de los nueve niveles y residencia de Tepeyóllotl (dios de las montañas, los ecos y el jaguar). Esta es la región donde dos montañas chocan, produciendo ecos como señal a los muertos para cruzar al siguiente nivel.

First compilation that premieres the label phase of Tepeme Música.

Mictlán is a conceptual album through genres and interpretations of 18 artists about the underworld according to the mythology and pre-Hispanic worldview of the Aztecs.

Mictlán is the underworld and part of the vertical universe, created by the pair of sovereign gods of the dead. Its nine levels represent the journey of a god every night in the fauces of the lords of the Earth.

Tepeme Monamictlán is the second of the nine levels and residence of Tepeyóllotl (god of mountains, echoes and jaguar). This is the region where two mountains collide, producing echoes as a signal to the dead to cross to the next level.

I produced this remix during an Ableton Workshop that i was giving 25.-27th of April in Berlin. Sooo many crazy tracks evolved over that time! Hopefully we can do some kind of complilation of them all some day soon. Make also sure to check on the whole original Album of Henri Texier - it is just wonderful.

Recently she started to work with Ableton and we asked her to give this beautiful EP by Sebastian Dali & Three Good Boys her special touch with a remix. She & Farid Azouri did a fantastic job and we are honored to release her first every Remix and look forward to what else will come in the future. If you do enjoy this EP as much as we do and your travel distance allows it, then come to our record release party in Klunkerkranich on 19.07 or catch Laura play at the LF Stage at Katzensprung Festival on 14.07. Linda Westin’s visual message offers brightness to things being hidden in the dark. Her alternative view on reality has inspired me to restate and go deeper on my search for the truth.

I cannot find any person in this world more interesting than Moondog. Inventor of instruments, self-taught composer, poet and blind at 16, he dwelled for 30 years in 6th Avenue & 53th in New York, wearing a viking suit while selling his recorded music and poems. Friend of the best musicians of the city such as Charlie Parker or Benny Goodman, he got introduced to Native American music since young. This mixture of Jazz, Native American music and New York City street sounds are the foundation of Moondog’s signature sound.
