Methuselah is a project consisting of 4 tracks that started out as what would have been an acoustic EP, but by
adding layers of vocals, percussion and guitars, has turned into Jackal & the Wind’s most exciting project to date.
The project was recorded in the very same room where I, Chris Kruger, wrote our first song in 2013. The isolation of
lockdown set the perfect stage for me to sit and be attentive and honest to the song-writing and recording
process.
The project revolves around the themes of love, loss and isolation. Nature has always been a source of inspiration
to my song-writing, so to take the listener from the forest to the beach and to put emphasis on these natural
landscapes through sound has always been important to me.
I then sent the raw mixes to our drummer, Johan Pretorius and our bassist, Alex Mayers, who then also added their
brilliance to the mix. The lead guitar parts were recorded in Correggio, Italy, where our lead guitarist, Peter Kruger, is
based.

Yo Grapes is the indie-pop solo act of Craig Durrant, who also happens to be the drummer of local indie/ rock fellows Desmond and the Tutus. Craig has been creating, releasing and performing songs since 2011 and has since found a loyal following of fans in a whole bunch of different places. People seem to enjoy songs like ‘Holiday’, ‘December’ and ‘Human of the Week’ which are a combination of made up stories, true life events and other words that rhyme or sound nice in the moment. 

In 2016, Yo Grapes started to release the next wave of tracks with ‘I Play The Drums’ being the first single. The song got radio play on national and local stations across South Africa - if that means anything to you. The next single ‘Weekend Shy Boy’ was released in 2017.

In 2019, Yo Grapes is releasing a series of singles starting with 'Cool Around You' which will be out on 16.5.2019
