Dix années se sont écoulées... Retour sur un DJ Set enregistré le 8 janvier 2011 au restaurant "La Plage St Barth" (Tom Beach Hôtel). Une mer bleue turquoise, un sable chaud, le tout saupoudré d'une brise océanique. On commençait la journée sur son transat et on finissait par se laisser déhancher sur le grondement de mon enceinte retour diffusé depuis ma cabine DJ suinté par les embruns salés... La bonne humeur de l'équipe de salle contribuait à faire monter l'ambiance de l'après-midi en servant des shots de rhum vanille après avoir dégusté quelques langoustes et poissons grillés. C'était "La Plage". ☀️🌴🍹🦩👙

It is with my 20 kilos of records that I went again to St. Barts to celebrate the New Year 2022.
The Quarter Bar Lab cocktail was created by Christopher Davis.
The 28th and 29th of December were dedicated to Dj Sets only mixed in vinyl. I made a selection of my best records to create five hours of Disco, Funk, Hip hop and House mixes from 1960 to 2021......

The Armed Gang

Italo synth-funk crossover act from the early 1980s, formed in Vicenza, Italy, by producer Maurizio Sangineto (Sangy) and black soldier vocalists Joe Bunch, Kenny Claiborne and James Otis White Jr. stationed at the nearby US military base. The band was short lived (about 2 to 3 years) due to difficulties keeping the US and Italian band members together.

Ce Dj Set a été enregistré un soir d'août 2018 au Buddha bar Hôtel Paris. 
Une sélection éclectique pour une ambiance détendue et relaxante avec un set de quatre heures, dont les trois premières heures ne dépassent pas les 110 BPM. Des classiques, comme « La Ritournelle » de Sébastien Tellier, « Kong » de Bonobo ou « Peace and Tranquility To Earth » de Roudoudou; des nouveaux artistes (Tom Misch - It Runs Through Me Feat. De La Soul, Polo and Pan - Canopée ou encore Satin Jacket- For Days feat. KLP et Darius- Omeo); du hip-hop (Kidboy Ft. Ohmega Watts - The Culture). 
La deuxième partie démarre avec un extrait du dernier Ep de Moodymann « Pitch Black City Reunion », un incroyable voyage entre Jazz et House Music. L’histoire se termine sur une Deep House sexy et envoutante. (Kevin Di Serna & Santiago Franch- One, Vince Watson- Eminesence...)

J'y ai joué pour la deuxième fois le jeudi 20 septembre et j'ai pu enregistrer une partie de mon set Afro-Beats, Brazilian-Beats, Caribbean-Beats, Japanese-Grooves, Jazz, Soul, Funk et Disco... . Une direction artistique gérée par Jean-Baptiste Malpel, dont la programmation vous fera voyager à coup sûr. Bon voyage autour du monde.

Une installation sonore de qualité accentuera le plaisir d’écoute et le design lumineux donnera une autre dimension à cet environnement festif. Une fois tous ses éléments rassemblés la magie peut alors opérer. 
Ce DJ Set a été enregistré le 24 mai 2019 dans un appartement Parisien.

Relentless stuff from KAT with release number 26 coming via the Hinge Project, a disco balled collaboration between Florent F and Yo-One Sutter. 

Having a penchant for all things Rinder & Lewis is no bad thing and that's what this release if all about, a cap doffed in their El Coco direction. 

First up we have ‘Cocomotion 79’ : A top draw, classy as, uber cool disco lounge biggie that was out in (you guessed it) 1979. Things have been slightly slowed down from the original and chopped in all the right places taking this from over 10 mins down to just under 7 strengthening those fender Rhodes and string sections along the way.

Next up is ‘It's Your Last Chance’… A sultry mid-tempo ditty with an absolute killer groove edited down to accentuate that ace vocal hook. Tempo'd for Dj pleasure (without losing that all important live feel), subtle delays effects sprinkled over the top with a filtered mid section for added oomph - massive ! 

On the flip we have ‘Love Exciter’ - A full on dancer with bonafied disco hand claps, squelchy bass, clavs and strings. Here the tempo has been brought down considerably from the original with the beats are locked down for mixing delights and finishing things off nicely we have the classic ‘Coco Kane’. Insane disco loops, massive bassline and all round killer string arrangement rounds things up very nicely.

His career began in the late ’90s in the South of France, where music quickly became a gateway to incredible encounters and opportunities. In 2006, he moved to the island of Saint Barthélemy, where he founded Music and Sound, an agency specializing in music production, and artist booking. For six years, he also served as the musical director of Bonito St Barth, curating its unique sound identity.

His travels across the islands and beyond have shaped a rich and eclectic musical culture, allowing him to share his distinctive artistic universe worldwide.

As a producer, he co-created several EPs, including “Brand New Day” a collaboration with Brooklyn singer Mandel Turner under the alias The Hinge Project, released on ISM Records. He also reissued and pressed the EP “El Coco” on vinyl with Kat Records.

In 2022, he teamed up with Parisian collective Le Goût du Son and iconic singer Jacqueline Taïeb to remix her 1967 album. The project, pressed on vinyl and distributed by Warner Chappell, features his remix of “Petite Fille Amour” produced alongside DJ and friend Gabin Nogueira under the name Jean&Gabin. The record “Play it Like Jacqueline” is now available on Discogs and select vinyl stores.

He recently founded SUTTER MUSIC, an musical agency dedicated to private events. From contemporary House to timeless 60’s Soul, his music knows no borders, his DJ sets are designed to take you on a journey.
