Following her Technomate debut in July, we’re delighted to have @denandensidecph resident Neri J feature on our podcast series this week. Born in Lithuania and based in Copenhagen, the co-founder of the @vortexcph event series has played across the Danish capital and beyond into Berlin, Nantes, Shanghai, Chengdu, Tbilisi and several more clubs and spaces across the globe. She’s also a resident of the collective, label and party @bunkerbauer. As a DJ, Neri J’s sound is a tasteful blend of techno, acid and trance, culminating in a dynamic and immersive trip that tickles all of the senses, as displayed on her driving mix for us.

Mara's musical journey began in Mérida as an instrumentalist before she transitioned to DJing in 2021, making her mark in the Rave scene of Andalusia and Extremadura. She later honed her style in Salamanca's techno scene, gaining popularity at clubs like Salamandra, Sala Potemkim, and Music Factory.

Known for her intense and groovy sessions, Mara explores various techno subgenres including Trance, Hypnotic, Hard Groove, Schranz, and Industrial. Her sets create an electrifying atmosphere, connecting with the darker side of her audience.

Mara has performed across Spain in cities like Madrid, Valladolid, Zamora, Cantabria, and Andalusia. Recently, she founded the ETIKA project to promote female talent in the DJ scene and expand electronic music beyond major cities.

Based in Malaga, Mara continues to leave her mark with unforgettable performances at venues like TheClub, Sala Cavally, True Club, and Sala Marte, pushing the boundaries of electronic music and amplifying underrepresented voices in the industry.
