The song 'The Don' by Brenton tells the story of his rise to power and asserting his dominance in the game. 

On second self-produced single since returning to creating music, he proclaims himself as a top dog, making it clear he's a force to be reckoned with, and he won't back down. 

Surrounded by his crew, he aims to enjoy a luxurious lifestyle filled with money, women, and respect. The lyrics express his confidence, ambition, and unapologetic attitude as he takes what he believes is rightfully his. The song speaks to the competitive nature of the music industry and his drive to be one of the best.

"The Don" was inspired by music Brenton heard while playing Grand Theft Auto and features an infectious synth-melody balanced out by keys, and smooth base.

1994 was the year that birthed Milkbone's "Keep It Real" and now, 22 years later, Brenton revisits the classic single with a solo effort for the 25th week of #9TeaseTuesdays. "Grand Prix" is as smooth can be, giving Brenton a home to speak his mind and listeners something to put on repeat.
