Similar to the inaugural release in the series, an impressive line-up of artists is featured: label head Justin Imperiale, Punchuashen featuring Laila Davids, Soulprovider & RootedSoul, Griffith Malo, Leoesco, Native Khalif & Donald Sheffey and Deuce Concept to name only a few. The compilation is loaded with deep and soulful music from around the globe and features previously unreleased mixes of former releases as well as brand new productions. Solid Steel (28th November) This week in Hour 1 it's Tessela in the mix with a live recording for us from a recent festival. He's had a residency on Radio 1, releases on R & S, Punch Drunk & Poly Kicks and a string of remixes, including last month's excellent 'Aztec Chant' remix for recent guest Peverelist. We don't have a track list, but we do know it's a tough mix and features tracks from Jerome Hill, Dan Physics, Helena Hauff and Floorplan. He told us;
"This mix was recorded live at Austria's Elevate Festival in a long stone tunnel carved into a hill for use as an air raid shelter during the second world war. Source Direct was in charge of the lighting"

The afternoon sun was in the window now and the room was too wann. The young man washed and put on his clothes and went down to walk on the beach. He knew he should swim but he was tired and after he had walked along the beach and then along a path through the salt grass that led inland for a way he went back along the beach to the port and climbed up to the cafe. In the cafe he found the paper and ordered himself a fine a l'eau because he felt empty and hollow from making love. The music in the cafe was gorgeous. Dreamy and gentle, a mixture of Electronica, Downtempo and some lovely world sounds all over it. He felt calm and in love, he wanted to travel again. “What's playing right now?” he asked curiously a beautiful waitress. “The new Shango Records single sir. Two tracks by Jose Solano and some gorgeous remixes by AmuAmu, Gulivert and Mikado Koko”. That was it. He was so happy and peaceful with this, he fell in love again, start living with the beauty of this music....
