I’ve always been a weird fuck. those two words along with smartass I think describe me the best (genius doesn’t do me well. I like being called a magician though). ever since I was a small child I’ve had some interesting habits, or ideas regarding myself. from not reading a book until I was 15 in order not to affect my style in any way. I mean, I’ve always felt a deep love towards books, and when I was in 4th grade, I used to borrow tens every week so the librarian would think of me as a big reader. it also felt great seeing how my library card kept feeling up. I would walk through the shelves and peek at covers. That’s all I’d do. Judge and judge cover after cover and select from the many those that touched something in my eye, or maybe the other way around. But I never read them. 

THOUGH, though, I did borrow Narnia, The Magician, hahaha, and I fucking read that thing hiding under my bed from my mom, with a light on the book, in one single night (as I remember, but it might have been 2). Though, if I’m not mistaken, I never finished the story. Or I did? Did I? Can’t remember. I do remember borrowing the book once again 3-4 years later in order to check the same thing, but I don’t know what conclusion I arrived at back then either. 

Nevertheless, such a beautiful bizarre thing. First book I read after my period of “artistic development” was Water for Elephants. I remember finding myself for 12 hours completely lost and sucked in the realm of that world. The circus, the story, the romance, ohhh Jesus save me from the pain of this beauty!
