This is the first track off my new "Dimensions EP". Called "Enter The Vortex", it goes back to the German Hard-Trance style of the 90s with its 168 BPM speed, acid 303 bassline and original synth sounds from the past. Rave Xistence - Enter The Vortex // released on Forever Forward

The 2nd track on the "Dimensions EP", called "Theme Of NonXistence", is diving deep into the history of Hard-Trance right back to the dark early 90s sound of Frankfurt, inspired heavily by early Harthouse releases as you would expect from Arpeggiators, Spicelab or Resistance D. While the first part of the track starts off with classic, atmospheric gated choirs, the main event takes you deep into a rave-cavern filled with smoke and strobelights. 160 BPM speed, a rolling kick & bass, plus hypnotic and aggressive lead stabs are designed to take you to a frenzy like it's only possible with early 90s vibes!

A special honour to be invited to do a remix for this re-release of a classic track from the 90s, and on the original label as well! This is my interpretation of "JL - The Future", which is a little bit slower than my usual productions in 90s retro style (that's why it's not under the "Rave Xistence" alias). The slower tempo opens up the door for more interesting melodic variations of the original - hope you enjoy my remix!

DJ eXcel - Cocaine (Yoko's Flashback Remix)  // released on Atomic Digital Recordings

My Drum&Bass DJ-Set from the Icarus Stage on Saturday 18:00-20:00 at the Habitat Festival 2017 in northern Germany. Mixture of Liquid, Deep & Uplifting sounds - freestyle selection as always, getting into the mood together with all the nice festival people!

After my remix for DJ eXcel, here's my first original production - a Drum&Bass tune with some trancy influences in it. You can definitely hear my roots from 90s Trance & Hardtrance in this one, but I tried combine this with the vibe of modern D&B.

"Superb work! Musically Yoko has got it spot on but it’s the percussion that works really well here. The snare is distorted to just the right extent and the progression keeps you interested from the off. The tamb could do with a little work on the placement but to be fair, this is releasable as it is. As far as the bass goes – it’s wonderfully clean and fits beautifully. 8/10"

New remix I did for another well-known classic from the 90s - once again kept it in the style of retro 90s Hardtrance! I always liked the original but wanted to add some more elements to it.

Also featured on my 2nd mix for "Analog Memories" on DI.fm and now released on TYT Digital, in a great 8-Track package plus other remixes by the likes of eXcel, M-Zone and more! All money made from the whole release will go to Sheffield Children's Hospital, a great gesture from label owner M-Zone and original artist Kenny Sharp. Support the good cause!

Started DJing in 1999, but my passion goes even deeper: I have lots of 90s vinyl in my collection (oldest is from 1991...!) and I still love to play the 90s sound, vinyl only of course! However I also really enjoy the current Drum&Bass sound, doing my radioshow on DnBRadio.com since 2014.

I feel most fortunate to have been able to play in other nice countries besides my home Germany: Denmark, Switzerland, Poland, Austria, UK ... and it always makes me happy to see other people enjoying my sets as much as I do myself. I like to go crazy behind the decks, and when people respond to that with nothing but positive energy it's the greatest thing in the world - there's no more "me" & "them" ... there's just "us"!

Whenever I have some free time I also produce my own tracks, currently using a hybrid studio setup with both virtual computer plugins, as well as hardware synthesizers, drummachines and effects.
