'Ice Drake' is a solitary dragon or wyvern that dwells in a cold, unforgiving landscape of snow-covered mountains.  Allow this Skyrim inspired artwork to set the scene for your imagination - vast snow-scapes that represent the expansive textures, mood and changing intensity of the song as seen through the eyes of the ICE DRAKE.

A haunting/etheral introduction to both album and track alike, "The Izoku" does well to encompass a vast array of shifts in structure and the technical ability of all 3 members. All the while, maintaining the listeners attention with a subtle underlying motif that is revisited through the track as a conceptual piece and a hint of what can be expected upon further listening to the album in full. The song itself expands on soundscapes and effects derived from 3 main instruments (guitar, bass and drums) but also debuts extra percussion that all 3 members experimented with during the recording/writing process. This lends itself towards a shift in the band's maturity and evolution of the overall sound. "The Izoku" perfectly sets the stage for what is to follow and at the same time questions the listener's ability to predict where the music will go next.
