Rory is a good and the first musical colleague (and friend) that I met in my life. I met him about three years ago, a kind, cheerful, and funny guy I always looked up to for his positivity and cheerfulness. Hey everyone, Josh speaking here. I started this score in about December of 2020 and had titled it “Collab”, but I guess I forgot about it until I was scrolling through my library, and saw the blank score. So, I invited some composers and we got started. This took us about a month to write, and then a few days to put it through a DAW and do panning, reverb, and stuff like that (Red and KRJ). Because it’s such a big score, by the end of writing it, the score was incredibly difficult to load and work on, which slowed down production a lot, but we ultimately got it done.
Overall, I think it turned out pretty great, we hope you enjoy it, and Happy New Year.

Crazy as it seems, this score is actually incomplete. @quantumjoss and I were aiming (expecting) for this to end up around fifteen minutes or so, but we got very very stuck. In fact, this score hasn’t changed in any significant way since the end of March (2022).

So, despite the sad irony of failing to finish a score that incorporates another incomplete score (“Unfinished Thoughts, No. 2”), I’ve decided this score is good enough to be worth sharing with all of you. And when better to do that than as a celebration of the new year?

I’m back. (I think?)

It’s been awhile. At least, it’s been awhile since I published anything *real*. It’s been even longer since I composed anything new. (“Be Leaves in Winter, Be Leaves in Summer, Be Leaves” was actually completed about two years ago, despite being published early last year.) 

I started this one less than two weeks ago and basically completed it across a handful of days in-between.

And while the title is tongue-in-cheek, but the sentiment is real. You might even say this score is autobiographical.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.
