We are all pretty aware of how the song represents depression, self doubt, and other forms of mental pain. But the song never paints personal fulfillment or achieving your goals as unnatainable. the song is worded in a way that displays there is always a path forward. And even ends with the suggestion that things will work out. suffering from depression or anxiety can debilitating and a large amount of people DO feel as though their problem is inescapable. But there are also people who are always trying to be optimistic, that also happen to suffer from the same pain. it's validating to me, as someone like that. It may be difficult right now, but just because you haven't given up doesn't mean you are invalid or "faking it". The reality is, I reiterate: there's always a path forward: You can be okay. -Reddit
