Mississippi has been traditionally characterized by the blues. The melodic tales of drinking and womanizing sung over wailing guitars inside hole in the wall juke joints. Fast forward to 2014 and Mississippi is fastly becoming a hotbed for the South's newest Hip Hop artists. Spitters who take that same angst you hear in the blues and transform it into modern day tales and country rap tunes.

TrickyLT45 born Timothy Hudson is one of the south’s hottest new hip hop artists. The 27 year old Jackson Native has been entertaining since he could put pen to paper making a name at an early age by wowing his friends in talent shows. Even at the early age of 7 he was performing and writing. 

"Rapping just came naturally to me," He said "I came up listening to a lot of Outkast and Three Six Mafia and it inspired me".

 After years of being in a school band's percussion section, he decided to pursue music as a career in 2003 while just a junior at Callaway High School. His quick wit, slick metaphors, and the “tricky” way he could change his rapping style up from slow and melodic to quick and staccato earned him the moniker that would stick with him to this day.  Tricky would first join forces with a few classmates Tzzy & Doe Hicks and form the short lived group Tripple A. Though they garnered quite a following within those academic walls, it wasn't until Hudson finally decided to venture out on his own that he found his niche.

Tricky has released 7 independent self-made projects on Itunes, Bandcamp.com, Reverbnation, and Amazon. He has graced the stage with the likes of Hip Hop heavyweights like Yo Gotti, 2 Chainz, Rick Ross, Young Jeezy, T.I.,Lil Boosie, Webbie, Pleasure P of Pretty Ricky, Plies, and Lil Wayne.  Tricky dropped his most anticipated project to date “New Shoes” with the first single “Xcellent Taste”  that got major love in the Southern region. Channeling the southern work ethic that produced do-it-yourself moguls like Master P and Bryan "Baby" Williams, Tricky formed and became CEO of 45MUSIC. A company formed to expand his brand of music and his acting. He just released a new project "One Hot Summer" which features the hit single "Boot". A Hip Hop ballad where he croons about his favorite sexual position.  Next is “Tricky’s Greatest”, a compilation of his best music consolidated from his 4 projects and his upcoming project entitled T.H.U.M.P. An acronym for “The Highly Underrated Musical Perfectionist. Like the 45MUSIC’s motto says “This Is For The Fly Only".
