Born and raised in west Berlin Michel Neigenfnd had only music and collecting records on his mind from an early age. Influenced by British ‚77 punk- rock and US punk from the late 80's, he soon realized musical boundaries were nothing for him. His equally large passion for hip-hop paved the way to first electronic productions when his passion for techno/house music steadily grew. The steadily growing success of the URSLRecords label which Madmotormiquel has been running together with Sebo and Soukie & Windish since 2010, has been a continuing reason for being booked way beyond the boundaries of Berlin. I have to say I was a bit intimidated playing the peaktime slot from 4-6AM at Acidbogen. So I worked super hard to get some new and dancy material into the set and well…damn I am still overwhelmed how well this performance was received 🔥🥵 Couldn’t imagine a better feedback from the dance floor 🙌🙌

One of the new tracks I recorded with @toshi.vocalist this May in the @flamesstudios in Johannesburg during the @africarising music. I’m super excited that “Izinto“ one will be out via @weareparadiseworldwide this Thursday, 03. November 🇿🇦🎤

Mezcal Amores was so much more than just a gig for @caleesi and me. It was a really special experience that took place in beautiful Oaxaca, Mexico in the ruins of an old building, amongst candles and flower blossoms and amazing people who really understood our music. We couldn’t have asked for a better atmosphere and are so lucky to have been able to play our sound in such a perfect environment. Thank you so much to Deborah, Marie-Lison, Marty, Carla, Mira and Santiago for everything. We’re so grateful to have been part of this unique experience!

The more we live in the new realities, the harder it becomes to imagine what life would be like if the virus thing had not happened at all. It’s only a matter of time when we’ll run out of days we had planned before the pandemic, which became invisible pages in some unwritten book. We’ll then come to terms with the new days, realizing that we are going to divide life before the isolation and after it, stuck amid some incomprehensible present, a what-we-could-have-done past and the what-comes-ahead future. No matter how fast we come to terms with the fact that we need to redefine and re-plan everything, and no matter how soon we decide to abstain from planning anything at all, we are nonetheless going to have a small and insignificant feeling of regret for the days we thought were important and were going to change the way we felt and the way saw things. And those “unfulfilled days” will remain the only link between the former and future realities.
@vikenarman and @acidpauli’s six-hour set they played at @Rambalkoshe marked, in some sense, the beginning of their joint performances. They were supposed to play b2b all night long at Berlin’s Watergate club today to officially kick start the new chapter both of them were so passionate about. To celebrate such a milestone, we are publishing an excerpt from the set this unbelievable symbiosis played at Rambalkoshe a year ago and took around hundred people to a different dimension, filled with nothing but incredible and infinite energy.
