1. Remember Me

Christoph Bornschein ist der Mitgründer einer der größten Social-Media-/Digital- Agenturen Deutschlands. Die Firma heißt TLGG und steht für Torben, Lucie und die gelbe Gefahr. TLGG betreut Kunden wie Lufthansa, eBay Kleinanzeigen, Astra, Spotify und das Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft. 170 Menschen arbeiten für Christoph, im Schnitt arbeitet er selbst 60 Stunden in der Woche und jettet 150 Tage im Jahr um die Welt.

Im Interview sprechen wir natürlich darüber, wie das alles angefangen hat. Wie aus ein bisschen Langeweile, Neugier und Spiel so eine riesige Firma werden konnte. Wir sprechen über die Arbeitsteilung zwischen ihm und seinen Mitgründern, wie sie zwischen Freundschaft und Arbeit unterscheiden, darüber wie Christoph sein Team managt und selbst gemanagt wird, wie er mit schwierigen Situationen umgeht und wie er sich weiterbildet. Außerdem reden wir über die Expansion von TLGG nach Amerika und am Ende teilt Christoph seine Zukunftsvisionen und auf was er sich konzentrieren würde, wenn er heute noch mal eine Firma gründen würde.

Christoph ist alles andere als der typische CEO einer großen Agentur. Er berät in Flip Flops, Baggy-Jeans und Kapuzenpulli Konzernchefs. Das lernt man in dieser Folge: Dass es auch ohne Angepasstsein geht und wie wichtig Leichtigkeit ist.

Ich habe überlegt ein neues Mini-Format innerhalb des Hotel Matze zu testen. Normalerweise stelle ich ja die Fragen, ich fände es spannend, wenn ihr Fragen stellen würdet und entweder beantworte ich sie oder ich frage Gäste, die schon mal da waren. Over the coming months, Unsound will release a series of recordings made at the Krakow festival, including DJ sets and live shows. 

This first is a recording from Slikback, a young Kenyan producer who played for the first time in Europe at Unsound. The recording is from his first of three shows in Kraków, at @szpitalna1. Affiliated to Uganda’s Nyege Nyege and their sublabel Hakuna Kulala, Slikback only started producing 18 months ago, but has so far has made more than 400 tracks including everything that you hear here. This includes a final track that he made just the day before, inspired by the music he'd heard during the preceding days at Unsound! The mix also features a track by Ogniki, his collaborative project with Morgiana Hz (@karolina_karnacewicz), and an opening remix of an upcoming release by Turning Jewels Into Water. 

Slikback is an original voice at the start of what looks set to be a long career - we can’t wait to hear where he goes next!
