Olivia Wendel originally wrote “Portland” in 2018, pre-pandemic while riding the 1 train home from her restaurant job. During the shift, a customer asked her if she’d ever been to Portland Oregon, somewhere they thought she would really enjoy. This song was her response to that conversation and the feeling of wanderlust she felt while watching the sun go down over the Hudson River as the 1 approached 125th street. Now in 2021, as New York City begins to emerge out of quarantine, the song resonates completely differently for Olivia. It’s a song that finds beauty in the places we call home, while longing for the possibility of traveling and getting lost in a new places. Recorded last summer almost entirely remotely, producer Jeff Peters and Olivia worked to achieve a production that is buoyant and hopeful, while allowing the melody line to wander around and explore.

The Satellite Station - Simple Miracles

Yosef David, a singer-songwriter/Producer, combines his smooth vocals and Acoustic guitars to create an R&B-inflected indie folk-pop sound.
 
Taking musical inspiration from artists like James Bay, Ben Howard, Vance Joy, and Stephen Sanchez, Yosef infuses his voice with R&B, and pop elements on his Acoustic. 
 
Based out of Brooklyn, Yosef has played his fair share of shows for his fans in New York and across the United States, from headlining the Knitting Factory, and Baby’s Alright in New York, and playing gigs at the Peppermint Club in California, and Subculture NYC. 
 
After beginning production with his long-time friend and multi-talented producer, Shlomo Wolf, Yosef released his first single, “Mayim Rabim (Raging Waters)” in 2018, and after releasing another three singles, followed up with an EP, “Inner Rivers” in June of 2019. In November of 2019, Yosef released an additional self-produced single, “SomeDays.”

In 2020 Yosef released “The Little Island EP” A self produced EP that was inspired by moving back to his home town due to the global pandemic. The EP has a very upbeat acoustic-pop, alternative indie feel.

In Jan 2022, Yosef and Gavriel released a collaboration single "I'm Awake" Through Two Keys Records.
