One of electronic music’s fastest-rising stars, Franky Wah, made his Anjunadeep debut earlier this year with ‘Should Have Seen It Coming’, feat. AETHO. Now, the emotive original gets a brooding rework from none other than Finnish producer and Odd One Out label boss Yotto. A firm favourite among fans of Anjunadeep, Yotto lands back on the label following a monumental twelve months, with recent originals on Tale Of Us’ Iconic Afterlife imprint and Beatport chart-topping collaborations with Cristoph and Anabel Englund.

Tinlicker strike again on Sotto Voce, their second release on Feed Me’s imprint takes things up a notch for 2015. Out exclusively on Beatport on the 14th April, and other platforms worldwide on the 28th April. The kaleidoscopic synth tinged 5-track EP “Into The Open”, is an epic journey from start to finish. The EP sees collaborations with Devries on the title track, and amazing euphoric, awe-inspiring vocals from Laura Louise on “Gazoline”.

This EP combines the hugely in-vogue modulating 80s synth-techno with the atmospherics expected from a Brian Eno project, backed by the thumping, crisp percussion, spanning across, spacious loose-limbed headphone pieces and tough, floor-focused club tracks. This innovative duo have sculpted a unique sound of their own, and made a home with the Sotto Voce family.

One of my very close friends from Duke, Liam, came to San Francisco to visit his brother (my roommate) Ian. Liam is an extremely talented producer, and he approached me with a beautiful melody idea. After only two days of studio sessions, we wrote the entire track together based on his original idea. There is nothing I love more than collaborating with close friends—when your chemistry (as both friends and musicians) works, the music seems to write itself.

Liam is no stranger to the music industry; he worked as Dave Grutman’s personal assistant (as “Intern Luke”) in Miami for over a year. Expect to see a lot more material from him as a solo artist and a collaborator.

I debuted this record at Audio in San Francisco, hence the name of the track. I clearly remember the tremendous reaction on the dancefloor.

Anjunadeep’s Explorations series returns with the highly anticipated ‘Explorations 08’. This edition plays host to five label debutants, whilst warmly welcoming back Tim Engelhardt and David Hohme.

The compilation opens with the original and instrumental mixes of Tim Engelhardt's and Lazarusman’s eccentric vocal-house track ‘This Life’. Moving from rhythmic claps for swirling synths, next up is Enamour's ‘Ruby’. First heard in the ABGT300 Deep Set, ‘Ruby’ marks an immense label debut for the American producer. Next, David Hohme & Dustin Nantais combine for 'Onward Only’ - a sweet vocal-led track of swelling synths. Finding air time with the likes of Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1, Jason Bentley on KCRW and The Aston Shuffle on Australia’s triple j for their moody dancefloor rework of ‘Breezeblocks’ by alt-J, Tinlicker reveal the final single ahead of their debut album release, ‘This Is Not Our Universe’.

Returning to the soulful laidback house music that made them such a beloved act on Anjunadeep, Jordi and Micha are reunited with Australian singer Thomas Oliver, the voice behind ‘Nothing Without You’ and ‘Soon You’ll Be Gone’.

"Thomas Oliver has been a friend of the family ever since he appeared on Black Sun Empire's 'All Is Lost' for the first time. Together we wrote 'Soon You’ll Be Gone’ and 'Nothing Without You’, so we definitely wanted another track in collaboration with him on our album. This tune has a very nice feel-good vibe for us, and that is mainly due to Thomas' vocals. We tried to make the instrumental elements fit around it as well as possible. "

Tinlicker’s ‘This Is Not Our Universe’ will be released on vinyl, limited edition CD tin and digitally on the 27th of September. Odd One Out requires me to sometimes release records that are a bit...odd. So after the 2 first releases I decided it’s time to unleash a hint of Gouda. The track asks ”Is This Trance?” and is fuelled by some gargantuan bouncy saw riffs that I picked up from my 13-year old brain which at the time was listening to Southside Spinners and Gatecrasher compilations. Slightly slower and more mature, like some of my favourite cheeses are, this is quite close to musical Gorgonzola with some hedonistic grapes.

GRAMMY-nominated electronic trio Above & Beyond release a long-awaited remix of ‘Sun In Your Eyes’, from California’s Spencer Brown.

Spencer first appeared on Anjunabeats with ‘Wannamaker’ in 2016. His productions blur the lines between deep house, progressive and trance, earning a place in the record bags of top flight artists Above & Beyond, deadmau5, Calvin Harris and Sasha.

‘Sun In Your Eyes’ was originally released on Above & Beyond’s 2011 album ‘Group Therapy’, which celebrates its tenth anniversary this year. One of Above & Beyond’s most popular instrumental pieces, ‘Sun In Your Eyes’ has had a new lease on life, with Jamie XX and Grimes recently supporting the track. It was remastered for Above & Beyond’s 2019 ambient album ‘Flow State’, which has generated over 135 million streams to date. Spencer’s remix has been a secret weapon in his live shows for years, and is the first remix of the track to be officially released as a single.

Spencer’s second mix album, ‘Stream of Consciousness’, was released on Anjunabeats in January 2020. Last year also saw Spencer team up with ALPHA 9 on ‘Ariel / Afterlife’ and with Anjunadeep’s Ben Böhmer on the ‘Phases EP’.
