YouGenious is a Houston based performance artist and musical legend known for his unorthodox style of R&B (The Misfit of R&B), rap and professional party crashing.  The Houston Chronicle is quoted as saying “A master of romance. He's like a white D'angelo dropping sweet grooves and aggressive come-ons that make the ladies smile.” (February 2008) Houston Press writer Bob Ruggiero states "Some left aghast, some loved it…. But you have to see him.(June 2007)" The Misfit of R&B has played and/or promoted sold out shows with widely known artists such as Devin The Dude, The Cashmere Stage Band, Rat-A-Tat, Leslie & The LY's, Quintron & Miss Pussycat, The Legendary BLOWFLY, Fat Tony and Grand Buffet. He previously participated is an official Houston Art Car Parade commentator (2008-10), hosted a gala for Planned Parenthood (2009), His previous acting roles include a starring role in Houston rapper Lil' Troy's " Wanna Be a Baller: The Movie"(2000) and a "Ranchero" (who was later killed) in a Mexican film entitled "Gente Violenta"(2007). He has 2 Houston Press “Best of” awards (2008 & 2011) under his belt, becoming a musical auteur (2014) and the front man for Houston’s ONLY professional party crasher group, GoREALah Soul. His recent project under development is COLD: The Musical - A Sensory Deprivation Experience.  He truly is one of the most interesting men in the world.
