“YOU & TODAY” is a music project, consisting of Johan de Wit.  An emerging singer-songwriter from the Netherlands.

His passion for music ignited at a young age and he has been honing his craft ever since. Prior to his current music project, he played in several local bands and he wrote his own songs, but his own music never took off the way he hoped for. 
In the previous number of years he started to disconnect more and more with his music, as he began to struggle with his mental health, as part of an identity crisis. He had to put down his music for several years, though he always kept writing songs as an outlet.

Now as he wrote dozens of songs about life, love and mental health, he wanted to share his new creations digitally under a suiting name, but without any plans or focus to perform his music in the future. He tried to capture some of his songs in his own demo recordings, only for you to hear exclusively on SoundCloud.

The concept of "YOU & TODAY" comes from the idea that both past and future were equally alarming sights in the face of survival. But yesterday is gone and tomorrow is not yet coming. Live your life in the present tense.
