Milan, one day in June. I had just returned from Sardinia, still shaken by the loss of
my father. I find my guitar but no will to play it and a need to call home. I make the
call and chat to my sisters, my brother and my mother, but someone was
missing….so, after hanging up with that feeling inside me, I pick up my guitar and
imagine the phone call that never happened, and the notes burst out of me. I would
have told him about the next tour, the latest reviews, the projects I had finished and
those I was about to begin and I am sure that, with his reassuring smile, he would
have told me: “If you are happy, then it’s ok”.
