Three records taken from Jian Kellet Liew a.k.a Kyson’s internationally acclaimed 2016 album ‘A Book Of Flying’; ‘A Song About The Future’, ‘Flightless’, and ‘You’ receive three fresh reworks, marking the Anjunadeep debut of the Australian born, Berlin based vocalist and producer. First up ‘A Song About The Future’, the original, a stunning contemplative vocal number from the LP, gets a textured underground rework from fellow Berliner and Kompakt affiliate, Dave DK, who returns to Anjunadeep following his memorable 2014 remix of Vincenzo. Next, Anjuna mainstay Jody Wisternoff and label boss James Grant put their distinctive deep house touch on ‘Flightless’; a familiar moment from the pair’s recent iTunes Dance #1 album ‘Anjunadeep 08’. Another Berliner, Ryan Davis rounds off the package following on from his impressive ‘From Within’ EP on Anjunadeep last year. Davis warps the delicate original into a dark and brooding electronic cut.

The Smirnoff Sound Collective is global initiative celebrating diversity and inclusivity in electronic music. Along with other members of the collective and key industry mentors, Joseph Ray and Meli were brought together for a creative retreat at Rancho V studio complex Joshua Tree, California. During one of the SSC Retreats. Inspired by the creative collective and their fellow artists, Joe and Meli created the hypnotic 'Inside' - one of many songs created that week - which unfurls from a melodic and delicate house tune into a bass-infused, bellowing track that easily fills a dance floor with its booming power.

Joseph Ray is a member of Grammy award winning trio NERO - 'Inside' is the first in a series of solo releases from Joseph Ray coming this year, that includes a collaborative project with the Haitian band Lakou Mizik.

MELI is a Grammy nominated singer-songwriter and producer, with a burgeoning solo career, whose work has been popping up across multiple genres from hip-hop to EDM.

Between his frequent musical pilgrimages to Haiti and the development of fresh solo material in Venice-based studio, Joseph Ray of NERO has locked into a new, exhilarating and cavernous club sound with his forthcoming two-tracker on Anjunadeep, 'Room 1.5 / Chem-EX'.

Ahead of its release on August 20, Ray has handed over 'Room 1.5' for a premiere. 

"This track was inspired by my days listening to jungle... fuzzy memories from the London nights when I got into dance music," Ray told Mixmag. "Those sounds and atmospheres have never really left me and this is my homage to them."

Approaching its 10-year anniversary, the Los Angeles-based label Young Art Records was launched by recording artist TOKiMONSTA in 2014. It debuted with the release of her mini-album Desiderium, which showcases features from Anderson .Paak and Joyce Wrice. Additional collaborations include Ambré, EARTHGANG, Ryuichi Sakamoto, VanJess, The Drums, Isaiah Rashad, Yuna and Selah Sue. TOKiMONSTA’s goal was to create a platform that would help nurture the creative output of talented artists, using her own releases to solidify the foundation of the label. Young Art has gone on to release the Juno-nominated album Play with the Changes by Canadian R&B icon Rochelle Jordan, Svengali by Cakes da Killa (rated 4 out of 5 stars by The Guardian), and Grammy-nominated “Best Electronic'' album Lune Rouge by TOKiMONSTA. The label’s roster newly boasts Japanese-American producer SHIMA, Miami-raised ROZET, as well as Rochelle Jordan, Keys N Krates, Daktyl + Benni Ola, Suzi Analogue, Rush Davis, Kingdom and more.
