Just A Little Treat

Don't Say Riot was originally a song written by a guy I know named AJB but he kept it on his computer and then lost it.  Later, I did a cover of it for my first solo album, Touch of B*tch.  More of a rock sound than the original which was folk punk.  Years later ie 2024 I finished another version which my buddy Curtis Maranda from Tiger Suit produced, which I wrote and arranged. In a way, I've adopted this song since AJB never seemed keen on sharing the OG version with the wider world.  This version will have to suffice.  Glaringly absent are the frequent collaboraters Navid Hamidi and that clown, Willy W. Wolfowitz.

Don't Say Riot

This song has its own story, and I guess I'll share it, in part - cuz ya know f*ck it.  When I was in uni, I lived with some dudes and we had a band called guard¡.  One of the dudes, who happens to be relatively famous currently, at one point, was dating this girl he met at a bar, who we thought was .. not the ideal candidate, you might say.  Anyway, we wrote this song about her, and it's not exactly what one might call a "realistic account" of things that happened, but it is what inspired the song.  There are some lurid details, which I'll not share here.  Neither the bro or the girl ever really heard the song or understood that it was about them.  After all, it's mainly fictional, so what does it matter?  It matters not.

Sabrina

The Slow Ride Home describes a situation in which our lad, Willy W. Wolfowitz, tries to drive home but gets stuck behind a "slow white negro", thereby delaying his arrival at the homestead.  The song is part fact, part fiction.
