Originally released in 2016 by Bien, gardenstate’s Marcus Schössow discovered the track while browsing Netflix. After contacting the Nashville-based indie pop band, their collaboration made its way to Anjunabeats in July 2021.

Included on gardenstate's 'Inspirations' album (released in October 2021), the heartfelt track has seen a new lease of life in recent months. 'The Best Part' has been streamed over five million times as of May 2022, with over 47,000 videos using the track on Instagram Reels, and support in Spotify's 'Chill Tracks' and 'Viral Dance' playlists.

'The Best Part' has also been remixed by Patrice Bäumel and Lost Prince, with Patrice's remix becoming a favourite of UK tastemakers Camelphat, and supported multiple times on BBC Radio 1 by Pete Tong.

Anjunabeats Rising introduced over 40 new acts to the label during 2021, including GVN, Alex Sonata & TheRio, Naz, Stephen Kirkwood, HRRTZ, Bexxie and more. After a brief hiatus, the series now returns.

Avenue One - Upstairs Terrace

One of the many aliases that I used back in the days was ‘Moonman’. The first track that saw a release under this project name was in the year 1996, when ‘Don’t Be Afraid’ came out.

One of the tracks on the B-side of the vinyl, was "Galaxia". The reactions on "Galaxia" were really good, so the record company decided to release "Galaxia" later on as a separate track with some new remixes as well.

Early 2005 I made an updated version of "Galaxia" so I could spin it in my DJ sets. And later I decided to include it on my L.E.F. album as well.

Next month I will let you all pick another production / remix of me and I will upload the most requested one to Soundcloud as well then.
