Usually Quiet: "'Voyage En Rouge' marks the debut single of a collaborative side project initiated by myself and Satin Jackets towards the end of last year, when we first met in my Berlin studio. The vision evolved over countless hours of dialogue and listening to our favourite classic house music, a genre deeply ingrained in our musical background. Reflecting on our formative years during the rise of deep house in the 90s, we traced back to our humble beginnings in the music industry. Despite embarking on diverse paths, including collaborations with other artists from different genres, we felt it's time to reconnect with our roots.

'Voyage En Rouge' serves as the first release in a series where we focus on the intial jam and spontaneous energy cultivated during our studio sessions. Embracing analog gear and capturing samples directly into the DAW, we consciously stepped away from overthinking, overproducing and overprocessing. Our ethos revolves around simplicity: raw, pure, loop-centered, groovy compositions without excessive transitions or effects. We consciously ignore social media and spotify trends, instead offering a contemporary take on traditional jam sessions and mixtape arrangements."
