This shit right here means a lot to me. I even took the picture I’m using for the cover. There was a point in time where I felt like this song was going to be the start of a new chapter in my life and development as an artist, and as a person as well. And it probably still is. My issue is I wanted to bring this song to the public in its completed form. Something nobody told me when I started rapping is that creating music is expensive as fuck. After I had worked hard and earned enough money to purchase this instrumental, after all of the excitement I had to finally be able to record a fully finished and crafted product, I was told that he no longer had access to the beat. I paid this nigga upfront and he told me he had it when I sent him the money to buy it. Nigga fully fronted. It’s been about a year since this song was recorded, and a little more since it was created. This recording right here was done off of my iPhone at the homie Moose’s crib which is normally where we cook. I felt like this shit was going to be able to fill in the gaps and communicate to the people who’ve been supporting me for years why I’m not where I know I should be and how I’ve been feeling. Keep it a buck with y’all I fully thought this was the most pure embodiment of myself through my music and so when I was told that this song technically would never be able to happen I was fucked up not even gone cap. I saved up for the beat itself, had plans for a video and all that. I ain’t gone lie consistency has always been an issue for me and I’m addressing it now. This was the song that was supposed to take me out of the hole that the pandemic created when we had to quarantine and all that shit. And so today I decided that I would just release this shit. In its raw form, no touch ups, no multiple takes, just the original recording of me going over the lyrics for the first time aloud. I’m hella self conscious about my art, and what I share and don’t share. As we speak now I literally have upwards of 20 songs that I would love to share with the world, I just over think a lot. And so I thought I’d use this to stop that shit, I don’t know if I should call this a song or what but I’m putting it out and I just hope y’all vibe with it because this is a song that’s been near and dear to me for a minute, no cap this nigga telling me he no longer had the beat that I already paid him for broke my damn heart, but a new chapter is opening now. Hopefully one day I can look back at this caption while sitting back in my nice lil mansion or loft or whatever imma be living in when my niggas is paid and we take this shit global. I’m thankful for anybody who supports me and has been supporting me this whole time, I know I don’t have no big fan base or nothing like that but I got y’all real ass niggas who I know personally that listen to my shit and that’s as big as can be.
